Please join WIP’s Board and a group of special guests to honor the service and leadership of Mike Hanrahan, and to mark the end of our 30th anniversary year.

The evening’s reception will feature delightful Irish food, drink, music and hospitality.

Meet our Honoree!


Mike Hanrahan


We are proud to be honoring WIP Leadership Council Member, Mike Hanrahan  with the Spirit of WIP Award. Mike reflects WIP's core values of service and leadership both in terms of his professional endeavors, and his personal commitment to supporting people with Angelman Syndrome.  Mike has been a regular part of the NYC Speaker Series for the WIP Emerging Leaders, and countless Alums have benefitted from his wisdom and encouragement to think big and take risks in their own leadership journeys. WIP as an organization has also been fortunate to have Mike's input and strategic guidance behind the scenes at key inflection points, particularly during the pandemic.

Mike is an investor and entrepreneur focused on the tech sector. Most recently he was Executive Chairman of Sustain.Life, a sustainability SaaS platform sold to Workiva in June 2024. Prior to that Mike established and ran Walmart’s artificial intelligence computer vision group while also serving on the board of GeneTx Biotherapeutics, where he had the pleasure of working with the incredible team that shepherded GTX-102 to in human trials and eventual sale to Ultragenyx. He also serves as Vice Chair of the board for the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics and is chair of their investment committee.

Mike and his wife Jo are parents to 4 amazing children, including Tom who is their deletion positive Angelman child and light of their life. Mike hails from Ireland, but has lived in London for 14 years before settling in New Jersey in 2010.
